Manager, Indirect Tax

About the role

MNP is seeking a Manager, Indirect Tax to lead client‑facing teams across Quebec. You will combine deep tax expertise with a client‑service mindset to deliver GST/HST and sales‑tax planning, while supporting the firm’s growth and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple engagement teams delivering GST/HST and sales‑tax planning and management services.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, understand their business risks, and identify value‑adding opportunities.
• Research tax policy changes, advise clients on implications, and develop specialized indirect‑tax training.
• Oversee engagement planning, budgeting, billing, and financial variance tracking.
• Maintain high‑quality control standards and apply technical knowledge to resolve complex tax issues.
• Network within the local business community, contribute to business‑development proposals, and mentor junior staff.
• Travel as needed to support client engagements.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• Completion of Level 1 of the In‑Depth Tax Program and related specialist courses.
• 4–5 years of public accounting or tax‑consulting experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Canadian indirect tax (GST/HST, sales tax).
• Strong understanding of business, accounting, and practice‑development principles.
• Proven people‑management, relationship‑building, and leadership abilities.
