Manager, Employee Communications

About the role

The Manager, Employee Communications partners with business unit leaders to translate complex priorities into clear, impactful communications. Based in Victoria, BC, the role supports BCI’s global operations and leverages AI tools to enhance content creation and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute holistic internal, external, and client‑facing communication plans aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business unit leadership and the Global Communications function, coordinating resources and ensuring timely delivery.
• Lead issue and crisis management processes, crafting strategies to protect BCI’s reputation across geographies.
• Partner with Digital Platforms to track communication effectiveness and apply data‑driven improvements.
• Support executive messaging, town‑hall events, and profile‑building initiatives for senior leaders.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in business, communications, journalism, finance or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive communications experience in a corporate or professional services environment, preferably with financial services exposure.
• Proven advisory and influencing skills with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong project‑management experience handling complex, integrated communication initiatives.
• Ability to navigate a fast‑paced, global organization and deliver multi‑channel content.
