Management Consultant – Operational Excellence

About the role

We are expanding our consulting team at Solara Partners and are looking for a Management Consultant with hands‑on operational‑excellence experience in mining, utilities or manufacturing. The role is client‑facing and embedded on‑site, where you will diagnose performance gaps, design and implement improvement initiatives, and coach client teams to sustain results.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose operational performance gaps using value‑stream mapping, bottleneck analysis and data analytics.
• Design and roll out process‑optimization initiatives, visual‑management systems and continuous‑improvement programs.
• Build and embed Management Operating Systems, KPI hierarchies and performance dashboards that link strategy to frontline execution.
• Lead change‑management efforts, driving adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working.
• Coach client teams to develop internal capability and ensure lasting improvement.
• Support multi‑workstream project management from scoping through delivery.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to operators, frontline leaders and senior executives.

Required profile

• Consulting or operational experience in mining, utilities or manufacturing (direct plant, mine or field exposure preferred).
• Professional fluency in English; Spanish and/or French are a strong asset.
• Demonstrated change‑management, coaching or facilitation skills.
• At least one relevant certification (Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, CSCP/CPIM, PMP, MBA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical abilities and comfort working in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work embedded on client sites.
