About the role

Dorsia, a leading restaurant in Old Montreal, is seeking a dynamic Maître d’ / Floor Leader to own a section of the dining room, build lasting guest relationships, and drive the energy and culture of the floor. This role blends hands‑on service with leadership, ensuring every guest feels valued.

Key responsibilities

• Create memorable first impressions and nurture VIP and repeat guest relationships.
• Manage your own section with meticulous attention to detail and uphold Dorsia’s service standards.
• Maintain awareness of the entire dining room, support pacing, communication, and service flow.
• Collaborate with the reservations team to optimize seating flow and room pacing.
• Coach and elevate team performance through example and professionalism.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fine‑dining or upscale hospitality.
• Strong leadership presence and high emotional intelligence.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to stay organized under pressure.
• Passion for hospitality, relationship building, and creating loyal guests.
