Maintenance Worker

About the role

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for keeping KIDO’s vehicles and facilities in safe, operational condition. Working primarily on‑site, the role involves routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and responding to urgent issues across a range of building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on office equipment and building fixtures.
• Inspect, service, and diagnose KIDO vehicles using basic diagnostic tools.
• Carry out repairs in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling and other building systems.
• Determine repair scope and coordinate specialized assistance when needed.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and reorder as required.
• Conduct snow removal, sanding and salting to ensure safe outdoor areas.
• Follow all KIDO policies, safety procedures and complete required training.
• Collaborate with other staff to communicate maintenance needs and respect workplace protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, furnace or HVAC maintenance, or related trades.
• Ability to read and follow operational manuals for appliances and equipment.
• Strong logical and problem‑solving skills for diagnosing issues.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
