Maintenance Technician – Hotel Facilities

About the role

Join the facilities team of a flagship downtown Montreal hotel and ensure that all building systems run smoothly for guests and staff. You will work night shifts on a rotating schedule, performing preventive and corrective maintenance across a wide range of equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, heating, ventilation, air‑filtration and security systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions reported by guests or identified during inspections.
• Carry out minor renovation tasks such as painting, wall repairs and floor‑covering installation.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, appliances and sanitary installations in optimal condition.
• Log work orders and track tasks using the hotel’s maintenance management system.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to minimise guest disruption.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain an inventory of spare parts.

Required profile

• Previous experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electricity, HVAC, heating, ventilation and security systems.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures and meet deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
