M365 System Administrator – Ottawa

About the role

Our client, a national organization undergoing a Microsoft 365 modernization, is looking for a hands‑on M365 System Administrator in Ottawa. You will be the primary technical resource for administering, supporting and continuously improving the company’s Microsoft 365 ecosystem and related endpoint services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant – licensing, user lifecycle, groups and service health monitoring.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) – MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, RBAC and identity governance.
• Configure and support Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, application deployment and compliance policies.
• Maintain Windows endpoint security – BitLocker, Microsoft Defender and modern device management.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues related to Microsoft 365, identity, mail, Teams and devices.
• Monitor service health, investigate incidents, review audit logs and produce technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking and infrastructure teams on projects and operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration or Microsoft 365 administration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot across Microsoft 365 services, identity platforms and Windows environments.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills for supporting users of varying technical levels.
