Lounge Associate – Part‑Time

About the role

The Lounge Associate supports the Microtel lounge by preparing meals, handling food, and delivering friendly service to guests. This part‑time role requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, heat, portion, and package food items using manual and electrical appliances; maintain inventory of food and beverages.
• Take customer orders, serve tables, and serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with provincial liquor regulations.
• Handle cash float, process payments, and reconcile transactions with the Front Desk at shift end.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, and storage spaces; manage waste disposal.
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies, ensuring proper stock levels for the lounge.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of customer‑service experience; food‑service experience is an asset.
• Legal age to serve alcohol in the province and willingness to obtain required alcohol‑service certification.
• Food Safety certification or willingness to complete training as required by provincial law.
• High School Diploma or GED.
