Long-Term Urban Locum Physician – Kamloops

About the role
This is a full‑time, long‑term locum opportunity for a physician to take over a practice in Kamloops that is closing. The assignment runs from May 2023 through December 2042, providing continuity of care for an established patient base.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to an average of 35 patients per day.
- Deliver palliative care services as needed.
- Maintain longitudinal continuity of care through the FPSC portal.
- Collaborate with local hospitals and specialists when required.
- Participate in optional obstetrics, home visits, and long‑term care services if requested.
Required profile
- Licensed physician eligible to practice in British Columbia.
- Experience in primary care and comfort with palliative care.
- Willingness to work in a solo‑practice environment.
- Ability to manage a full patient load and adapt to practice closure transition.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MedAccess EMR system.
