Long-Term Occasional Grade 2/3 Teacher (Full-Time)

About the role

The Upper Grand District School Board is seeking a qualified educator to join the elementary teaching team at Spencer Avenue Elementary School on a long‑term occasional basis. This full‑time (1.0 FTE) position covers the period from September 2 2026 to May 21 2027, providing continuity of instruction while the regular teacher is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, curriculum‑aligned instruction for Grade 2/3 students.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment that supports student well‑being.
• Assess student progress and report outcomes in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Education standards.
• Collaborate with the school principal and staff to uphold board policies and educational goals.

Required profile

• Valid Ontario Primary teaching certification (effective September 2 2026).
• Two professional supervisory references, including one from a current principal or vice‑principal.
• Ability to provide an original Vulnerable Sector Check dated within six months before start date.
