Long Haul Truck Driver

About the role

GMR Transport Ltd. is seeking a reliable Long Haul Truck Driver to transport goods across various locations from Winnipeg. You will be responsible for safe, on‑time delivery while maintaining vehicle condition and complying with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Load, secure, and unload cargo, including dangerous goods.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments, preventive maintenance, and emergency roadside repairs.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with central dispatch, relay information, and complete required documentation.
• Ensure cargo is tarped and secured for safety and security.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid Class 1/1F/A licence for semi‑trailer trucks.
• Air Brake (Z) endorsement.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, days, weekends as needed.
• Attention to detail, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
