Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

This contract position supports a well‑established manufacturing organization by coordinating the movement of goods across North America and ensuring compliance with trade and customs regulations. You will work closely with logistics leadership and purchasing teams to keep shipments on schedule and documentation accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, monitoring timelines and compliance.
• Prepare, review, and submit customs documentation for imports and exports.
• Manage trade and customs reporting, focusing on tariffs and CUSMA/USMCA requirements.
• Enter and maintain purchase orders in SAP, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
• Track purchase orders, update statuses, and liaise with vendors.
• Provide administrative support to logistics leadership during periods of increased customs workload.

Required profile

• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of North American trade regulations, especially CUSMA/USMCA.
• Hands‑on experience with customs documentation and tariff compliance.
• Purchasing experience, including PO entry and tracking, is a strong asset.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities onsite.
