Live-In Assistant General Manager – Resort

About the role

This live‑in position supports the General Manager of a scenic lakeside resort near Nordegg, Alberta. The Assistant General Manager will help oversee daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with all aspects of resort operations, including guest services, accommodations, food & beverage, events, maintenance, and recreation.
• Provide visible leadership across departments and step in wherever needed.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of staff.
• Maintain high standards of guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams on operational projects and improvements.
• Support health, safety, and compliance standards throughout the property.
• Handle administrative tasks such as reporting, purchasing, inventory control, and labour planning.
