Litigation Lawyer

About the role

We are expanding our litigation practice and are looking for a Litigation Lawyer who enjoys managing diverse civil and commercial matters, developing effective strategies, and advocating for clients throughout all stages of litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil, commercial, and general litigation matters.
• Manage cases from initial assessment through resolution, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Oversee discovery, document production, examinations, and pre‑trial processes.
• Appear in court, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Provide practical legal advice and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with lawyers and support staff to deliver high‑quality legal services.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Minimum three years of litigation experience (preferred).
• Strong advocacy, research, drafting, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple files and meet competing deadlines.
