Line Cook – Pastry Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook with a passion for pastries to join the culinary team at Stanley’s Bar & Grill. In this fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment you will prepare high‑quality dishes across breakfast, lunch and dinner, while also supporting banquet events at the Stanley Park Pavilion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to restaurant standards during all service periods.
• Maintain consistency, presentation and food quality for every dish.
• Manage mise en place accurately to ensure service readiness.
• Execute station duties efficiently and adapt to special requests.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls and waste‑reduction guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef, Chef de Partie and front‑of‑house staff.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation and health regulations at all times.
• Report equipment or safety concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a high‑volume restaurant kitchen.
• Previous baking or pastry experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Level 1 certification or ability to obtain it.
• Strong knife skills and solid culinary technique.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lb.
• Calm, organized and detail‑oriented under pressure.
