About the role
We are seeking a line cook to join our team at Mucho Burrito in Langford, BC. The role involves preparing and cooking Mexican dishes in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, including Mexican cuisine.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas; maintain cleanliness.
- Order supplies and equipment; maintain inventory records.
- Train, supervise, and recruit kitchen staff and helpers.
- Organize buffets and banquets; manage kitchen operations.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience as a line cook in a restaurant.
- College or certificate program (3 months to less than 1 year) related to culinary arts.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
Required skills
- WHMIS certification.
- Food Safety certification.
