About the role
We are looking for a motivated line cook to join our team at Spices Indian Restaurant in Fort McMurray. This full‑time, permanent position involves preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to recipes.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records, and manage kitchen operations.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with menu planning, portion control, and quality checks.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of kitchen experience.
- Reliability and ability to work as a team player.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, repetitive environment.
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
