Lift Operator (Seasonal)

About the role

Join Nakiska Ski Resort for a winter season as a Lift Operator, ensuring guests enjoy a safe and memorable mountain experience. You will act as a resort ambassador, managing lift lines, validating tickets, and providing friendly assistance to visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage lift queues, validate tickets, and guide guests onto lifts.
• Perform pre‑operational and operational safety checks on lift equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including basic outdoor housekeeping and minor maintenance or carpentry tasks.
• Assist with traffic control during special events and ensure signage, ropes, gates, and pylons are correctly positioned.
• Execute emergency procedures, including lift evacuations, in coordination with Snow Safety and Dispatch.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment weighing more than 25 lb.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work extended shifts, weekends, holidays, and in extreme cold weather.
• Moderate to advanced skiing or riding ability (preferred).

Required skills

• Lift operation and safety protocol knowledge.
• Ticket validation and line‑management experience.
• Basic maintenance or carpentry skills.
