About the role

Key responsibilities
- Carry out nursing tasks within the scope of practice defined by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing, including medication administration and documentation.
- Complete resident charting, incident reports and use the Point Click Care system to access resident information.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, supervise staff when required, and provide shift reports.
Required profile
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing and completed pharmacology coursework.
- Professional attitude, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and capacity to handle pressure and emergency situations.
- Criminal record and vulnerable sector check required.
Required skills
- Medication administration according to care plans and MAR.
- Proficiency with Point Click Care electronic health record system.
- Basic pharmacology knowledge.
