Licensed Practical Nurse – Full-time & Casual Shifts

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily nursing tasks within the scope of practice defined by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Administer medications according to care plans and MAR, documenting accurately.
• Complete all resident documentation, charting, incident reports, and use Point Click Care for information access.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents, employees, and organizational data.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations involving residents or staff.
• Supervise other staff on duty when required and provide end‑of‑shift reports.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
• Pharmacology included in basic LPN program or completed an approved Pharmacology course.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and under pressure.
• Criminal record and vulnerable sector check required.

Required skills

• Medication administration.

• First Aid certification.
• CPR certification.
