Licensed Practical Nurse – Acute Care/ER – Wabasca, Alberta

About the role

Join a vibrant community in Wabasca as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on an interprofessional health‑care team. You will deliver safe, high‑quality, patient‑ and family‑centred care in an acute care/ER setting while gaining exposure to a variety of clinical experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in accordance with legislation and organizational policies.
• Participate in emergency department activities and respond to urgent patient needs.
• Maintain a respectful understanding of Indigenous culture, history, and health practices.

Required profile

• Completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse program and current LPN registration.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Willingness to relocate to a remote community and engage with local culture.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and mentorship.
