Licensed Automotive Technician – Service Department

About the role

OpenRoad Lexus Richmond is seeking a fully licensed automotive technician to join its Service Department. The technician will perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicle brands while ensuring work meets dealership and factory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive repair orders, perform work efficiently and accurately, and document all actions.
• Communicate with the parts department, tag and save warranty parts, and order additional parts as needed.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and advise the Service Advisor promptly.
• Road‑test vehicles to verify quality of repairs.
• Supervise apprentice technicians when assigned.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment and comply with all regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Fully licensed automotive technician with a valid British Columbia driver’s licence.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, organized and committed to high‑quality work.
• Effective interpersonal skills for teamwork within the Service Department.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of automotive equipment.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and procedures.
