Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

About the role

Canada Post is seeking temporary, on‑call delivery agents to join its network in Vaudreuil‑Dorion. As the public face of the organization, you will ensure that mail and parcels reach customers reliably, while working outdoors year‑round.

Key responsibilities

• Begin each shift at the depot by sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
• Load and operate a Canada Post vehicle to transport mail and packages.
• Deliver items on foot or by vehicle along an assigned route, handling both residential and business customers.
• Return to the depot to unload incoming mail for future delivery cycles.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record for at least three years (driver’s abstract required).
• Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and regularly carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb).
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and be available on‑call.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English and/or French.

Required skills

• Safe driving practices and vehicle operation.
• Physical stamina for repetitive lifting and walking.
