Legal Specialist – Remote Contract (10‑40 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis, providing expert guidance on commercial contracts, employment law, structured finance, and M&A transactions. The role offers flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week and a competitive rate of $40‑$110 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and redline commercial contracts to ensure legal accuracy and business alignment.
• Provide counsel on employment law, structured finance, private equity, and merger‑and‑acquisition matters.
• Evaluate SaaS Master Service Agreements, identify risk areas, and recommend improvements.
• Interpret complex regulatory requirements and develop compliance guidelines.
• Assess data‑privacy policies against international standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate legal concepts into clear, actionable feedback.

Required profile

• Active Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum years of practice with a proven track record in commercial contracts, employment law, and structured finance.
• Deep knowledge of private equity, M&A, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal issues.
