Legal Advisor

About the role

As a Legal Advisor at Soucy, you will support strategic decision‑making across multiple legal domains, including corporate, intellectual property and environmental law. You will work in an international, family‑oriented environment collaborating with colleagues from the United States, Brazil and China.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts such as supplier agreements and licences.
• Prepare legal documentation for corporate affairs, including confidentiality agreements and legal opinions.
• Interpret statutes, regulations and decrees to protect group interests and limit liability.
• Coordinate with external counsel and provide guidance to internal managers on legal matters.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies and applicable laws.
• Identify legal issues, propose solutions and support business objectives.
• Contribute to the development of procedures, policies and standardised contract templates.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Law and membership in the Quebec Bar Association.
• 4‑7 years of experience in business law.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, confidentiality and integrity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
