Lead, Technical Program Management

About the role

The Technology Program Manager will lead and oversee technology projects for Mastercard's Ethoca products. You will work with cross‑functional stakeholders to continuously review, update, and optimize a portfolio of responsible projects while ensuring alignment with departmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Project Management staff responsible for planning, monitoring, executing and implementing projects.
• Assist in departmental budget development, strategic direction, and approval of labor spend.
• Provide leadership, direction and supervision to ensure staff have appropriate skills and behaviors.
• Offer business knowledge and technical support for systems development, identifying deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure projects are adequately staffed, trained and managed within approved manpower and budget guidelines.
• Provide technical and advisory support for the development and implementation of applications.
• Participate in defining project requirements and recommend solutions.
• Deliver projects on schedule and budget, handling status reporting, escalations, testing, user approval and methodology compliance.
• Manage relationships with global technology operations teams and project requesters.
• Log, track and resolve project, business or release‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; advanced degree and PMP preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategy, planning and project management.
• Background in management consulting, financial services, e‑Business or related areas.
• Advanced knowledge of the payments industry.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and planning abilities.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
