Lead Quality Engineer – Build QA Practice

About the role

Zafin is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to establish and own the QA practice for its AIOS platform. You will define standards, design test strategies, and work hands‑on with complex backend, integration and data‑validation testing while mentoring a growing QA team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement QA standards, processes and best practices for the organization.
• Design and own test strategy for backend services, integrations and file‑based data exchanges.
• Lead API testing and validation, including performance testing.
• Apply Deterministic Simulation Testing (DST) to bring AI‑aware testing methodology.
• Mentor and lead other QA engineers as the first QA hire.
• Drive test planning, execution, defect triage and report quality metrics to leadership.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of senior‑level software testing experience, owning strategy.
• 2+ years defining QA standards and processes for a team or organization.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring QA engineers (team of 2+).
• 1–2 years hands‑on experience with Deterministic Simulation Testing.
• 3+ years of API testing experience (Postman or equivalent).
• Experience building a QA function in a greenfield environment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and sprint‑based delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
