Lead Hand Landscaper

About the role

Paysagiste Roche is seeking an experienced Lead Hand Landscaper to supervise crews and ensure the health and appearance of residential, commercial and public green spaces in the Montreal area. You will work outdoors in an urban environment, coordinating daily tasks and delivering high‑quality landscape maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Trim and prune trees to meet specific objectives such as crown cleaning, thinning, reduction and espalier pruning.
• Manage landscaping projects, including irrigation, drainage, ornamental ponds, fountains, waterfalls, retaining walls and rock gardens.
• Water, fertilize, and treat lawns, gardens and plantings with appropriate chemicals and organic products.
• Assess plant health, diagnose diseases, and apply pest‑control measures.
• Direct crews in the maintenance of golf courses, parks, residential lawns and commercial sites.
• Plant, relocate and remove trees, and oversee snow‑removal operations when needed.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on landscaping experience, preferably in residential or commercial settings.
• Ability to work early mornings and overtime as required.
• Physical capability to bend, crouch, kneel and lift equipment; must own steel‑toed boots and gloves.
• Client‑focused, organized, reliable and a strong team player.
• Fluent in English or French; Spanish is an asset.
