Lead Hand – Interior Systems & Finishing

About the role

We are seeking a versatile, high‑level Lead Hand – Interior Systems & Finishing who is a true “Jack of All Trades.” This role oversees the full lifecycle of commercial interior projects, from metal stud framing to final trim, ensuring the high standards required for 5‑star hospitality and retail environments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and oversee T‑bar/ceiling grid installations and metal stud framing.
• Perform high‑standard mudding, taping, and sanding for paint‑ready finishes.
• Install various flooring types and architectural millwork/carpentry.
• Coordinate trades with the Site Supervisor to keep the project on schedule.
• Lead by example on safety, maintaining a clean, organized, hazard‑free job site.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, especially interior renovations and fit‑outs.
• Proficient in interior framing, key‑bar/ceiling systems, flooring, drywall, and expert‑level mudding & taping.
• Carpentry background or enrollment in an apprenticeship; formal trade schooling is a strong asset.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Alberta (e.g., Jasper, Banff).
• Leadership mindset – proactively fills gaps, maintains a clean site and perfect finish.
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards and hazard mitigation.
