Lead Designer

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level Lead Designer to own the creative output across our digital agency’s client portfolio. Reporting directly to the agency owner, you will work closely with the technical lead and senior marketing stakeholders to deliver high‑impact, brand‑caliber work.

Key responsibilities

• Own design output from initial concept through final delivery for multiple clients.
• Translate loose direction into several distinct creative options quickly, enabling client feedback and selection.
• Produce national‑account quality creative that meets the visual standards of large agencies.
• Maintain quality control, reviewing and elevating work produced by other team members.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across copy, specifications, calls‑to‑action, and brand guidelines.
• Partner closely with the technical lead on projects moving from design to development or production.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual range, polish, and experience with high‑stakes brands.
• Senior‑level conceptual ability to generate multiple creative options from a brief.
• Ability to work quickly, delivering strong first drafts that need refinement rather than redesign.
• Fluency with AI creative tools and a clear process for using them.
• Confident client‑facing presence, able to present, defend, and adjust work with senior marketing stakeholders.
• Availability to work during US Central Time business hours.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite – deep expertise in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Current AI creative tooling with a demonstrable workflow.
• Figma for UI/UX design and collaboration (strongly preferred).
• Motion design, animation, or video production capabilities (a plus).
• Email design and build experience (a plus).
