Laboratory Technician – Phlebotomy (Winnipeg)

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its St. Vital LHSC site in Winnipeg. The role involves obtaining high‑quality blood and other specimens from patients and performing routine laboratory tests while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain venous and capillary blood specimens and perform urine collections.
• Prepare specimens and conduct routine laboratory procedures for diagnostic use.
• Follow all safety and infectious‑material handling guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of test and control results.
• Prepare monthly quality‑control statistical reports.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibrations, and safety checks.
• Observe all safety precautions and complete any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Laboratory Technician program or equivalent experience.
• Experience with phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety.
