Laboratory Technician (Part-time, 15-month term)

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its Health Services Centre on a part‑time, 15‑month fixed‑term basis. You will obtain quality blood and other specimens, perform routine laboratory tests, and contribute to a positive patient experience while upholding the company’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain venous and capillary blood specimens and perform routine urine collections.
• Conduct standard laboratory procedures to generate data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain accurate records of test and control results and prepare monthly QC statistical reports.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibrations and follow safety protocols for handling infectious materials.
• Support the team in delivering a positive customer experience and uphold quality metrics.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Laboratory Technician program or equivalent experience.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and excellent communication.
• Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry checks.

What we offer

• Part‑time schedule (Monday, Tuesday 10 am‑6 pm; Saturday 7:30 am‑12:30 pm) totaling 40 hours bi‑weekly.
