Laboratory Scientist – Analytical Services

About the role

The Scientist is responsible for all analytical activities within Certified Group’s laboratory network, supporting food, beverage, cosmetics, OTC, and dietary supplement clients. The role involves reviewing data, preparing reports, troubleshooting methods, and ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and GLP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and report analytical data, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation, conduct investigations on out‑of‑specification results, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and improve analytical methods in partnership with Operations and R&D teams, including validation and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to the Operations team, support audits, and maintain SOPs and LIMS documentation.
• Interact with clients on technical issues, prepare non‑conformance and corrective action reports, and participate in GLP study activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or MSc in Chemistry (or BSc with relevant experience).
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or related scientific field.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a regulated environment following ISO 17025 and GLP requirements.

Required skills

• Analytical method development and validation.

• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 accreditation requirements.
• Understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) principles.
