Lab Helper B – Proximal Sensing Support (Part‑time)

About the role

The Lab Helper B will support the new Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) funded project in the Bioresource Engineering group. This part‑time position involves operating proximal sensing platforms, integrating sensors, and assisting with field data stewardship while maintaining laboratory organization.

Key responsibilities

• Operate proximal sensing platforms associated with the CFI project, ensuring proper calibration and data acquisition.
• Integrate various sensors, conduct performance testing, and document results for research analysis.
• Assist with field data stewardship, including systematic data collection, entry, validation, and backup procedures.
• Organize laboratory materials and instruments, maintain inventory, and support a clean, safe work environment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) as the minimum educational requirement.
• At least 1 year of related experience in a laboratory, field research, or sensor integration setting.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada and willingness to be based in Quebec at the specified campus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in English for both verbal communication and written documentation.
