Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher

About the role

Playground, an internationally recognized gaming and hospitality destination near Montreal, is seeking a full‑time Kitchen Steward to keep its culinary environment spotless and efficient. You will work alongside kitchen and service teams to ensure a constant flow of clean dishes, glasses, and utensils.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and transport used dishes, plates, and utensils to the washing area.
• Load and unload commercial dishwashing machines, ensuring proper operation.
• Stack cleaned items in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff.
• Sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and the kitchen area regularly.
• Empty and manage garbage and recycling bins.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English or French.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
• Prior experience in a similar dishwasher or kitchen steward role.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation and food‑safety practices.
