About the role
We are seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our food preparation team at Boston Pizza in Gravenhurst. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring food quality, managing inventory, and handling reporting responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
- Hire food service staff and oversee a team of 3‑4 people.
- Ensure food and service meet quality control standards.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit operational reports and food order summaries for the chef.
- Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Flexibility and strong teamwork orientation.
- Ability to supervise a small team (3‑4 people).
