Kitchen Helper – Part Time Leading to Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Helper to support our fast‑paced kitchen operations in Calgary. The position involves preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with service in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Operate dishwashers, clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
• Package take‑out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare simple menu items.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers and cupboards.
• Remove kitchen garbage, sweep, mop and polish floors.

Required profile

• Client‑focused with a positive attitude.
• Efficient interpersonal skills and reliability.
• Team player who can handle repetitive tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 9 kg (20 lb).

Required skills

• Experience operating a conventional oven.
• Experience using a deep fryer.
• Proficiency with an electronic cash register.
• Safe Food Handling certification.
