Kitchen Helper

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Helper to support our food service operations in a fast‑paced urban environment. The role involves preparing, cleaning, and maintaining the kitchen and dining areas while ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Carry and replace linen, clean and sanitize dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units.
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs; load buspans and trays.
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware; place items in storage.
• Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas.
• Sanitize and hand‑wash dishes, scour pots and pans, and package take‑out food.
• Portion, wrap, and prepare simple food items; heat and finish meals.
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables and take orders.
• Stock refrigerators, salad bars and other storage areas.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies; remove kitchen garbage and trash.
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors; clean and sanitize work surfaces, cupboards and equipment.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Comfort handling heavy loads (up to 20 kg/50 lb) and standing for extended periods.
• Reliability, teamwork orientation and client‑focused attitude.
• Capacity to perform repetitive tasks and work under pressure.
