About the role
We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Helper to join our team at Jungle Jim's Restaurant in Clarenville. The role involves supporting kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, preparing simple food items, and handling supplies.
Key responsibilities
- Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs after each service.
- Place dishes in the designated storage area.
- Package take‑out food orders for customers.
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items according to recipes.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment.
- Handle and store cleaning products safely.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain hygiene.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for meal preparation.
Required profile
- No formal education required; a high school diploma or equivalent is sufficient.
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
