Junior/Intermediate Science Teacher

About the role

The Holy House of Our Lady & St. John seeks a part‑time teacher to support science instruction for upper elementary and junior high students. The role blends academic teaching with spiritual formation in a classical Catholic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach science, history, and catechism with clarity and narrative richness.
• Lead physical‑education classes that develop coordination and discipline.
• Foster a love of learning, attentiveness, and moral formation appropriate to each age group.
• Maintain a structured, engaging classroom and communicate regularly with parents.
• Participate in school prayer, community life, and occasional supply teaching as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred, not mandatory).
• Experience working with elementary‑aged students.
• Strong classroom‑management abilities.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing, willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and professional attitude.

• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Proficiency with Google Classroom.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
