Junior UI Developer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for a Junior UI Developer to join the core UI team behind Aruba Central, its flagship cloud‑based networking platform. This hybrid position requires at least two days per week on‑site at the HPE office in St. Laurent, Canada, and offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge self‑driving network solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop UI features for cloud products using TypeScript and React (or comparable frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js).
• Translate product and technical requirements into clean, maintainable front‑end components.
• Follow front‑end engineering standards covering code quality, accessibility, performance, and design consistency.
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit and end‑to‑end) using Jest and Cypress.
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure reliable integration and deployment.
• Use AI‑assisted coding tools responsibly, validating output and flagging potential hallucinations.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own small to medium‑scoped tasks and progressively expand responsibility across UI domains.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 1–5 years of relevant experience (including internships or project work).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly.
• Quality‑mindset and attention to detail in delivering reliable UI components.
