Junior Software & AI Developer

About the role

Join an innovative technology company in Richmond, BC that builds AI‑powered behavioral recognition and edge‑based video analytics solutions. As a Junior Software & AI Developer you will work side‑by‑side with senior engineers to design, develop, and deploy intelligent software that runs directly on surveillance cameras and other edge devices.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and contribute to an existing C++ codebase and software architecture.
• Implement feature enhancements, performance optimisations, and bug fixes.
• Support AI initiatives by running automation scripts and preparing training datasets.
• Assist with model optimisation workflows and testing on edge hardware.
• Maintain accurate engineering logs and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Recent graduate to 3 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Strong academic foundation in C++ and familiarity with Python for scripting.
• Basic understanding of computer‑vision concepts and the AI model lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
