Junior QA Engineer – Software Test

About the role

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join Veriforce’s Technology team in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area. The role focuses on delivering reliable, high‑quality software through manual testing and the creation of automated test scripts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, product owners and Scrum teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Create, document and maintain clear test cases, test scenarios and test data.
• Execute manual functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document and track defects, retest resolved issues and perform regression testing before releases.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or Cypress under guidance from senior engineers.
• Review automated test results, investigate failures and improve test coverage across key user journeys.
• Support API testing, validate requests, responses and data flows, and work with developers to resolve integration defects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.

• Early‑career professional with a strong interest in software quality assurance.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience or familiarity with Playwright.
• Experience or familiarity with Cypress.
• Understanding of API testing concepts.
