About the role

Join Carta’s North America Contracts team as a Junior Paralegal, supporting high‑volume investment transactions across the United States and Canada. You will work alongside lawyers, senior paralegals, and AI‑driven tools to streamline contract drafting, KYC, and NDA processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist lawyers with first‑round mark‑ups of investment‑related NDAs and commercial contracts.
• Manage document lifecycles, track deadlines, and coordinate execution with counterparties.
• Communicate with internal teams and external parties to ensure timely completion of legal tasks.
• Support high‑volume matters while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Develop expertise in compliance, contracts, or fund law and progress toward SQE qualification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent (preferred).
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast‑paced legal environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with NDAs, KYC processes (optional).
