Junior Legal Counsel – Employment and Privacy

About the role

ARRISE is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to join its Canadian legal team, focusing on employment and privacy law. The role offers the chance to provide strategic legal guidance while supporting a fast‑growing iGaming company with a global footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, timely legal advice on employment matters, including terminations, complaints, and work‑schedule adjustments.
• Advise on privacy compliance, drafting and reviewing policies, contracts, notices and ensuring alignment with relevant legislation.
• Conduct legal research on employment, privacy and emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, monitoring case law and regulatory updates.
• Support other departments, liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies, and assist in contract negotiations.
• Develop templates, processes and policies to build a scalable legal function and maintain records of group policies.
• Monitor legislative changes in employment, privacy and commercial law and report findings.

Required profile

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited institution.
• Strong interest in employment and privacy law.
• Excellent analytical and research abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
