Junior IT & Operations Support

About the role

We are looking for a Junior IT & Operations Support professional to join Ratehub’s fast‑moving fintech team in Toronto. Reporting to the IT/Tech Manager, you will assist employees, brokerage operations, SaaS platforms and our phone system, gaining exposure beyond a traditional help‑desk.

Key responsibilities

• Onboard and offboard staff: set up and de‑provision accounts in Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce and other tools; coordinate laptop ordering, configuration (Windows 11/macOS) and shipping.
• Provide Tier 1 IT support: resolve software issues, password resets, MFA setup, hardware troubleshooting for Windows 11, macOS, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 users.
• Administer SaaS applications: manage user provisioning, licence assignments, conduct periodic audits and follow access‑control runbooks.
• Support the VoIP phone system: provision extensions, voicemail, basic call settings and troubleshoot call‑quality problems.
• Assist brokerage teams: act as first point of contact for CRM and workflow‑tool issues, support tool roll‑outs and system changes.
• Contribute to IT projects and compliance: help with UAT, documentation, security‑awareness training and ad‑hoc office IT setups.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in an IT support or related role.
• Interest in working across IT, operations and fintech environments.
• Ability to follow runbooks and documentation, and to communicate clearly with non‑technical staff.
