Junior Full Stack Software Developer

About the role

Pixieset is looking for entry‑level full‑stack developers to join its Engineering team through a four‑month Developer Jumpstart Program. You will work on real product features, receive mentorship, and grow into a contributor on scalable web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement product features using PHP (Laravel) and JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React).
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code for both backend systems and user‑facing functionality.
• Deliver improvements ranging from UI enhancements to backend optimisations across multiple codebases.
• Help maintain and evolve Pixieset’s architecture, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and solve complex technical challenges.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Research and integrate new technologies to boost performance, security, and development processes.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or completion of a reputable software development bootcamp.
• Basic understanding of development best practices and a willingness to write production‑quality code.
• Interest or experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Yii, Symfony) and JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, jQuery, ES6, Webpack).
• Experience with relational or non‑relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, HTTP, RESTful services, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Strong communicator, problem‑solver, and growth‑mindset with curiosity and dedication.
