Junior Front-End Engineer (Hybrid, Montreal)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Front‑End Engineer to join our fast‑growing, technology‑driven buy‑side fund in Montreal. You will work in a hybrid setting, building modern React applications that power real‑time trading and data visualisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop modern React front‑end systems that support real‑time trading and live data streams.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualisations for large, fast‑moving datasets.
• Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts to translate complex models and machine‑learning insights into intuitive user interfaces.
• Learn and apply current front‑end patterns such as real‑time streaming, performance tuning, and component‑driven architecture.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Basic familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Solid computer‑science fundamentals; a degree is helpful but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated passion for technology through meetups, side projects, blogs, or similar activities.
