Junior Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team in Toronto. This hybrid position offers the chance to work with large data sets, develop dashboards, and support monthly reporting cycles while gaining exposure to both finance and analytics functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare recurring financial and treasury‑related reports and dashboards.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, variances, and business insights.
• Support monthly reporting cycles and respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests.
• Work with large datasets using Excel, SQL, and reporting tools.
• Assist with dashboard development and reporting enhancements as the team transitions from Tableau to Power BI.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure data quality and maintain reporting documentation.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, business analytics, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis).
• SQL (basic to intermediate querying).
• Tableau or Power BI (willingness to learn Power BI is essential).
