Junior Financial Analyst

About the role

Yamaha Motor Finance Canada is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support the Financial Planning & Analysis team. The role will involve maintaining budget and forecast models, analysing monthly results, and contributing to product pricing and treasury activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and updating budgets and rolling forecasts for the Canadian operation.
• Analyse monthly variances against plan, identify risks and opportunities, and prepare reports for senior leadership.
• Support month‑end closing with variance analysis and reporting to the President and Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation.
• Collaborate with treasury on asset‑liability management, funding plans and banking reporting requirements.
• Work with the product and pricing team to keep pricing model assumptions current and aligned with target returns.
• Provide ROI assessments for new product deployments and enhancements, interacting with sales and captive strategy teams.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or 0‑2 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with cross‑functional stakeholders in Canada and globally.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Understanding of asset‑liability management concepts.
• Basic familiarity with pricing analysis and ROI calculations.
